We specialise in the repair of Woodwind, Guitars and other Stringed instruments. A simple service on your horn or flute can produce astounding results; all these years you thought it was your fault you couldn’t get a nice clean Bb on your alto, and the chances are your guitar has never sounded or played as well as it should, even when it first came out of the box. There are a number of simple steps that can be taken to give your old guitar or saxophone a new lease on life that don’t necessarily have to cost the earth or take a long time.
Andy formed Walker Repairs in 1984 after qualifying in Musical Instrument Repair at Stephenson college in Edinburgh. Moving back to Ayr he quickly set up shop and established himself as one of the key repairers in the area. He now does repairs for the Schools in the area and has a customer base stretching as far as Saudi Arabia. Andy operates from a small workshop in his own home which enables him to maintain a cost effective and efficient operation.
